Past Reunions
Platte County Missouri Stubbs reunions began in 1931 at the home of Ben and Josephine Stubbs Sloan just west of Platte City. The dinner was in honor of Josephine's sister, Nannie Jane Stubbs Randle, who was visiting from Mulhall, Oklahoma. Reunion registers have been preserved for some of the 1930s and from 1969 to current. The reunions today are for friends and family of the descendants of Jesse Thomas and Lucinda Taylor Stubbs. Three of their eleven sons (Robert Patterson, McCord Roberts, and Jasper Newton) came in covered wagons to Platte County between 1877 and 1897.

May 2015 Reunion
The 85th Stubbs reunion was held in Edgerton, Missouri on May 24, 2015. Seventy-four people attended the annual event. Family lines represented were Jasper Newton, Robert Patterson, McCord Roberts, and Thomas Benton Stubbs. Attendees came from Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Louisiana, Oregon, Nebraska and New Mexico.
May 2010 Reunion
The 80th annual Stubbs reunion and celebration was held in Edgerton, Missouri on May 30, 2010. We had a good turnout with more young people than we have had in many years. Following are family group photos taken at the event. Family lines represented were Jasper Newton, Robert Patterson, McCord Roberts, and Thomas Benton Stubbs. Attendees came from Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and New Mexico.
May 2007 Reunion
We had a good turnout at the 77th annual Stubbs reunion held May 27, 2007. Sixty-one registered attendees came from five states: Kansas, Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, and Washington. We were very happy to have several newcomers to the reunion this year. We tried out what we called "Your Autograph Please" to get everyone visiting new people. Participants had to find twenty people fitting the autograph criteria. Newcomer, Debbie Stubbs, was the winner. Diane Stubbs brought large wall-mounted genealogy charts this year. People where interested to see where they fit in. The children very patiently awaited their time to burst the pinata.
May 2006 Reunion
Fifty-eight family members from Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and New Mexico attended the 76th annual Platte County, Missouri Stubbs family reunion, May 28, 2006. The children were very excited about having a pinata this year--so much so that we are going to make this a tradition. In our newsletter, we had asked people to bring their old family photos so they could be scanned for posting to this website. This also provided an opportunity for others to help identify unknown people.
May 2005 Reunion
The 75th annual Stubbs reunion was held in Camden Point, Missouri on May 29,2005. The turnout was great for our planned family group photos. Eighty-nine people attended representing descendants of Jasper Newton, Robert Patterson, McCord Roberts, and Thomas Benton Stubbs. We had attendees from Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Washington, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Louisiana.
